Changing my eyebrow shape made my face completely different for the better
This will be obvious for many, but it wasn't for me, so I thought I might share my victory. I always had slightly masculine-shaped eyebrows. Not very thick, but sort of bushy and all over the place. Exactly like my father and grandfather. I would pluck and trim here and there, which kept them neat. It was okay, but I always struggled with a ridiculous baby face, which for having a somewhat-serious government job, it made me feel a bit small amongst my much older peers. And I always just felt unattractive in general, a bit unbalanced and top heavy, which made my midface seem extremely long.
The other week or so I made the decision to shave them off and sculpt the shape myself. I got rid of half of their width, and instead of a rounded shape, I made them into thin straight lines that taper off at the end. If you're into alt and gothic looks, you would likely know what I'm talking about.
I didn't feel sure at first, because it was such a stark change, and usually our eyes don't like drastic changes. But this week I realised just how much more confidence I have had looking in the mirror. I finally feel I look like an attractive, adult woman. I truly enjoy looking at myself, which is something I have never felt in my life.
I can't include photos because there's too many creeps on Reddit, but I'm writing this to share my personal victory in finding new confidence, as well as a note to anyone else who also constantly feels something is "off" in their facial features.
It sounds so silly, because it's just eyebrows. But it really does turn out that the right ones will bring completely new balance to the face. It feels so good and so unexpected. Thanks for letting me share.
