Couples weekend getaway recommendations.

I am looking for ideas for a 2-3 day weekend getaway with my husband. I am looking for somewhere in the US, where we could either fly or drive to. We live in Ohio so a drive would be the surrounding states or maybe a NE coastal state. This will be mid August.

I originally was thinking of going to the gulf but people scared me into rethinking this idea, simply because of the heat and potential hurricanes. We really are so chill, we just want to relax with each other for the first time without our 2 kids. I want to eat good food and have some drinks. Maybe see a couple cool things or some beautiful scenery but really just lowkey, maybe even a spa?

Let me know trips you have taken or any cool spots you like suggest that you think would fit this. I appreciate any help or feedback!
