Can I save this chick?

Can I save this chick?
Can I save this chick?

This little bantam girl (I think) got picked up and put down by my dog (Labrador mix) when she flew out of a box I was carrying her to her coop. I know I should have put the dog away first, I’m so mad at myself.

She’s been a real fighter, she is still eating, drinking and pooping. But her legs are messed up, she keeps one foot strongly forward and the other leg seems to have not a lot of strength (but she can curl her toes).

I don’t really know what her injury is, none of her bones *feel* broken but I’m not a vet, nor can I justify spending 400 on a bird vet to get an exam and x-rays.

But I really would like save her if I can. Maybe I can splint her legs? Or find some other way to help her rehabilitate?

Any advice appreciated
